Had a 14h shift in the lab yesterday. Mice experiment followed by magnetic sorting of different cell types from tissues. Too many washing steps but there were some cells left in the end. Next step is to see whether my EVs have reached their destination 😅

Jeppesen, Sanchez et al. identify blebbisomes as large membrane-enclosed vesicles containing organelles and secreted by cells. Blebbisomes can both secrete and internalize exosomes and microvesicles.

While the 'real' scientists are still figuring out how EVs work and which components are functional, 'exosome treatments' are a million dollar cure-all industry that operates without FDA approval. Good story on the exosome cowboys, but makes me sad as well 🥲
