Marina Shafir is someone I'm willing to admit I've done a 180 on. Didn't think she had much to offer in her and that her height could only be as a henchwoman for Shayna Baszler in NXT but damn if working with the Death Riders hasn't turned her into something special. Hope TK straps her up soon.

I do think "Underrated" and "Overrated" are kind of meaningless labels because it depends on your circles and you aren't actually arguing quality, just saying other people should think differently. However, Miz has never been underrated by WWE in terms of how they use him.

This is maybe my most petty take. Insisting Miz is underrated is just wrong. Yes, "smarks" don't rate his in-ring work (correctly IMO) but he's got a Mania Main Event, 2 World Titles, multi midcard & tag reigns, & has been consistently featured on TV. You can't be underrated & have that résumé IMO.

Plus, I sometimes see people say a wrestler was underrated when they were, in fact, absolutely not based on the fact they could do a coupme of moves nice and some great wrestlers were able to drag a semi-decent match out of them. Am I talking about The Miz? Yes but it applies to Enzo too.

The answer is yes btw. The WWE audience loves a sing-a-long (fair) and has a lot of fans who will happily tell you the wrestling doesn't matter (ridiculous). If you were 10 when they were a thing, you are now 19-23 ish and being nostalgic for things from your childhood that sucked is common.

I feel for Cass. I admire the work he did with his addiction and I thought he'd turned into a real solid act for the midcard and tag ranks as Big Bill and now he's in limbo cause apparently everyone in WWE didn't agree they were going to sign Enzo before signing him. Fed gonna Fed.

They are in a band called Grpplng and supposedly have to finish up commitments to it before they can go full-time with AEW. The question is therefore more "Why debut them if they aren't ready to get to work?" but the counter is "AEW was in Detroit".

Yeah, it's the third year they've done it. Started with ZSJ, who they did kind of justify by saying he wanted to be Champion when NJPW came to England for Royal Quest IV, which was happening before Wrestle Kingdom. Still Eh on it, though.

Look, I know parenting can be exhausting and is hardwork but why even start a family if you are so excited by the idea of tech replacing the need to interact with them? Reading a book with your kid seems like one of the easier and more fun parts of raising a kid. Do the voices! They'll love it!

This is partly jokey but I do also think it is just kind of true. Pro Wrestling isn't unique in playing with the intimacy of violence & idea your rival is the one who understands you most but I think if you don't get or even fear the element of sexual tension with that, your art will probably suck.

Baron Corbin threw Rey Mysterio and Tommy End off the roof in that match and they came back just fine.

This is in no way a "gotta hand it to Vince" but the company is definitely in a different place than at the end of 2020. They seemed to feel more pressure to occasionally do the right thing back then (recognising Black History Month & Pride etc.) so may have not needed the push to honour Brodie.

I wish he didn't work for WWE cause I do think it just stains your morality by association at this point but yeah, hard to say much bad about Kevin Owens based on his own actions that I know of. Seems like he has a good heart and has done a lot of admirable things like this.

My ideal booking would probably be that he loses the Triple B to Oiwa, & then Oiwa brings it to Ospreay and says he dealt with his fake champion problem for him & now he wants a shot at the real one with that match retiring the Triple B & MJF just uses the proper belt if (when) he is champ again.

Every time you think "Maybe I'll give WWE some credit for this one", there's some wrinkle that makes it a little sleazy. Good on KO though. He also shouted out support and admiration for Rebel on a WWE post-show when he returned.

I think that era of TNA was just solidly over throughout Europe because most of the broadcast deals on the continent meant TNA shows were as easy or easier to watch to watch than WWE shows, even if WWE was still the bigger brand.

It's so frustrating because no team can reach their potential if you don't give them enough of a division to go on a proper run against a variety of credible opponents. Can a deal not be done with Stardom to send over a team for a few months for a programme at least?
