Black-and-white analog photograph, a portrait of my wife Elisa, constructed more through gesture, shadow, and tension than through facial features. Elisa leans toward the camera, yet her face almost completely disappears into the deep darkness of her hair and shadow. From that darkness emerges a hand stretched toward the lens, enlarged by perspective, pale and almost luminous, with the fingers spread wide. It becomes the visual center of the image, like a sign, a spell, a gesture of defense, or an attempt to cross an invisible boundary. Her second hand rests lower in the foreground, heavier and calmer. A tension forms between them: one remains close to the ground, while the other reaches toward the viewer.
For me, this is an unconventional study of femininity, not idealized or domesticated, but more primal, ambiguous, perhaps even predatory. A femininity that does not need to reveal a face in order to assert its presence. There is strength in it, mystery, physicality, but also something elusive and unsettling. As if, beneath the surface of everyday life, another nature briefly emerged, older than words and social roles.
The soft analog blur, visible grain, and restrained tonal range strip the scene of literalness. The light does not describe the figure, but reveals only selected fragments, while the rest sinks into shades of grey and black. Grey is perhaps the most important element here, because nothing remains unequivocal. Neither tenderness nor threat, neither closeness nor distance. Elisa is present and hidden at the same time. The photograph offers no answer. Instead, it opens a dark door into that part of feminine nature that fascinates precisely because it can never be fully known.

Black-and-white work combining analog photography with graphics created in PaintStop for ZBrush. The setting is the interior of an abandoned building: worn walls, a low ceiling, a dirty checkerboard floor and a large rectangular window closing the perspective at the far end of the room. In the foreground sits a bright inflatable pelican, completely out of place in this stark, decaying environment.
Its presence is deliberately irrational. It may be read simply as an abandoned toy, but also as a character displaced from another reality, as if it had crossed into this room from some unknown metaverse. Its inflated body is literally a form filled with air, an attractive shell whose existence depends on emptiness inside. The surreal scene offers no clear explanation, leaving the viewer to decide whether the pelican carries a meaning of its own, or whether that meaning exists only because we choose to give it one.
