Co-activation can be functional, to stabilize, or pathological, e.g. after stroke, but both are captured in one EMG recording. In our recent paper (first-author Ellis van Can) we isolate functional co-activation through a leg-swinging task in healthy adults. Open access: doi.org/10.1016/j.ga...
