Hard to argue with a word of this. Gotta get healthy in a hurry.

#LFC lost any chance at a point w/ Granberch’s second yellow. Liverpool were never winning this game w/ players out. But it was a chance for Wirtz & Barcola to step up & they failed. Munoz & Koumas had a greater impact. Also, love Araujo’s energy, but you see his limitations against good wingers.

And now no Szoboszlai to go along with Isak and Gakpo absences.

#LFC begin a brutal three-week stretch that tells us a lot about the team. On paper, I don’t know how they get anything out of today’s game v City with key injuries up front. But Anfield should be at full swell given the ruling regarding City.

Gut-punch loss for #Crew96, who were the better team most of the night, but couldn’t solve the Orlando keeper. And squandered some great chances. Habroune was special.

#Browns first five-game home winning streak against the Steelers since 1982-88 when Cleveland won seven straight at the old stadium.

#Crew96 were minutes away from a damaging draw in a game they dominated. But their efforts were rewarded w/ a bad spill from a Miami keeper who looked shaky all night and an alert poach from Thiare. What a sensational game, and a vital Crew victory.

One of the most entertaining halves of soccer I’ve seen this year at any level. #Crew96 w/ good response after Messi’s outrageous free kick. Favorite moment of half was Messi and Santi Rodrigues going nose to nose for about 20 seconds. For a moment I thought I was watching a Stanley Cup playoff game

#LFC go into first International break w/ 1-0 victory at Bournemouth, a place where few opponents win in recent times. Lots of concerns about tepid performances from new arrivals, but that can’t be said of Jacquet. He’s been excellent, playing a big part in 3 straight PL clean sheets.

How did #Crew96 lose to this team at home?

Farsi with the goal, but shoutout to refereefor playing advantage on goal. #Crew96.

Arsenal’s dominance is built on control, and they’ve had none of it against Brighton. It’s a wide-open game, and that doesn’t suit the Gunners.

Brighton v Arsenal could be a banger.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United share many of the same problems, especially at the back end and thru midfield. Right now, they are catnip for well-organized opponents who can hurt you on the counter.

Cool graphic from The Athletic. Haaland’s discipline is impressive. But what really catches the eye is the number of times Darwin Nunez was offside since 2022. He’s among the leaders, and didn’t even play in the PL last season. #LFC

Biggest takeaway from #Crew96 victory: Columbus played like a spot in the Open Cup really mattered, while Orlando could not have looked less invested. Visitors mustered 3 shots over the final 66 minutes of the game. To be fair, credit belongs to the Crew’s structure and hustle.

#Crew96 headed to Open Cup final on the strength of an excellent second half. Got an early goal from Mendez and didn’t give Orlando a sniff. Small crowd, but fun atmosphere. The Santi assist for the winner will love long in the memory.

That might be the prettiest #Crew96 assist since Cucho left town. What a ball from Santi. Mendez with a tap in.

Small gathering for #Crew96 Open Cup semifinal. Feels like a Cleveland baseball game at the old stadium in the late 80s. All that’s missing is the dude yelling. “Juu, Juu, Juuuuuulio.” Diehards who are here are into the game. Big 45 minutes ahead.

Hard to make many judgments in games like this with a heavily rotated #LFC side. But Liverpool were second best most of the night. Gakpo & Mac Allister were. good. I really like Koumas. Big kid who plays with aggression. Another goal from distance for Szoboszlai.

If goalkeeping was just a matter of stopping shots, Mamardashvili could be #LFC keeper of future. He made 3 or 4 excellent saves today in 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Spurs. It’s the other parts of his game that are worrying. His distribution & decision making — like on Spurs goal off corner. (1/2)

Love ‘em or loathe ‘em, 10-man City w/ a helluva win at Old Trafford. Gonna be some title race with Arsenal.

Hard to believe #Crew96 won’t clean house at season’s end — barring a Cup win. This was always going to be a transitional season, but all the changes have not made them better. They need a new GM and coach. It’s a bad team.

#LFC showed no sharpness in final third and deserved nothing more than a draw. Nobody on this team can supply a decent cross. Florian Wirtz detractors will tee off on today’s effort. Liverpool sloppy in possession throughout. Jacquet merits a special mention. Played well defensively & saved a goal.

Pretty cool #Crew96 have start a Middlesboro supporters club out of Parsons North in honor of former Crew players on the team.

A season ago, #LFC allowed reeling opponents like Spurs & Chelsea come to Anfield and get results. Fulham looking to add their names to the list. Liverpool so sloppy in possession. Fortunate to be scoreless
