Saw this quote from Trump in today's Washington Post. Utterly incoherent -- except for the last sentence, it's impossible to even figure out what the rest of it is supposed to mean. And yet his supporters have the nerve to accuse Kamala Harris of speaking in "word salad".

How do Americans now perceive Trump. The following is courtesy of YouGov by way of Daily Kos. It's a shame that the U.S. electorate hadn't figured this out back in 2024 when it would have made a difference.
List of character traits and the percentage of Americans who feel they describe Trump.

David Horsey has been producing great political cartoons at least since the late 70s, when I would see his work in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. He still has the gift...

While the NYT still does excellent journalism at times, this bit of mush from today's NYT morning newsletter is a perfect example of what they do wrong. No, it's not "unclear", because there is no way that tariffs will lower prices. None. And they know it, but are afraid to be that blunt.

Something a little lighter...here's a flyer that I saw posted in Kochel, Germany on a recent trip. My partner and I had a good laugh when we saw this. That said, it doesn't mean what it sounds like -- it translates as "We're looking for you".

The latest e-mail newsletter from Senator Cornyn (R-Trump's nether regions) shows that the man has gone utterly insane. See highlighted portion of newsletter wherein he suggests Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Absolutely disgusting.

From the NYT (archive.ph/9Dr3w), here's a simple explanation of the way that Republicans plan to distort the baseline so that they can push through more tax cuts under reconciliation:

Since Texas is big on religion in our public schools, here's a great poster on the Seven Deadly Sins that we should put in all our classrooms.

Saw this elsewhere and it gave me a good chuckle. Unfortunately, it isn't signed in any way, so I can't credit whoever came up with it.

This is worth reposting. It's the perfect response in that it isn't insubordinate but it doesn't actually say anything:
