I get the release clause phobia but it’s illogical. If I said we were signing (for example) Ollie Watkins on loan, people would say “good move”. A transfer with a release clause gives us the same value on the pitch, most likely for longer, but with potential for profit instead of cost. #lufc

Keep seeing people saying fees will be way higher due to sell club owing sell on clauses. That’s not how it works. If you buy a shared equity house, you don’t get to sell it for more because you only own 50%. Market dictates value. #lufc
