my take on what llms have done to jobs (most job families). if you were bad at your job before llms, your job has probably gone. if you were good at your job before llms, you (plus your llm partner) are going to be even more valuable to your company

Is R still relevant? I realised that of the 50 data folk in our org, only 2 of us (myself included) still use R. Everyone else uses Python. Is this reflective of the market? I'm not trying to bring old flame wars to this new place. Geniune question! #databs

I want to state for the record that I still believe that analysts should become more strategic (esp now that I've exited my primary conflict of interest). Analysts need to become either more strategic or more technical, and this will be increasingly important as LLMs commoditize SQL-writing.
