"Pat, why do you carry that ridiculous 600mm lens on long hikes?" Buddy, I can see mountains reflected in the eyes of a trailside pika.

Tighter crop of the same pika, focusing on its head.

An even tighter crop, focusing more on the pika's eye.

An extremely tight crop of the pika's eye, emphasizing their reflection of an early morning mountain scene.

So bizarre how we've outsourced job searches to the point where employers mention "hey, a human will read your resume and cover letter" as a differentiator on job postings. Allow me to quote AI on AI.

So much in the world has changed since 1997, when I got a job as a teenager cleaning golf shoes. And yet, 28 years later, one thing remains the same: getting a job is about who you know. 😅

Had a great chat today with Mary Deacon, Chair of Bell Let’s Talk, for the book I’m writing. That campaign has been huge on the stigma/awareness piece, and sports teams and athletes have really embraced it over the years.

It's so hot in Toronto that an older man crossing the street beside me just said, with a level of sarcasm even I found impressive, "If I die of heat stroke halfway across the road will you drag my corpse to the other side? My family will wanna identify me" and we are now best, albeit sweaty, friends
