I am thrilled to say that Nahla Tracker has been featured on the great Lave Radio podcast! They do definitely think it is odd and amusing - but they also called the tracker "beautiful" and "as detailed as one would hope"! 65 mins in: laveradio.com/lave-radio-e... #elitedangerous

Same planet but 6km and 130km higher. #EliteDangerous #virtualPhotography #photoMode

Screenshot from Elite Dangerous. Taken above the rocky moon's surface. The local star is now above the horizon, but only just, so the shadows are long and the hills in the distance are all mainly only visible as silhouettes, with only some parts of the tops still lit. The ground is a reddish brown stone. The view is quite hazy, the atmosphere giving everything a yellowish green tint near the ground, going towards blue and then finally almost black higher up. Only a handful of stars are visible in the sky, both because of the atmosphere and the fact that I'm so far from the galactic plane that there are relatively few stars in the sky in this direction, with most of the galaxy out of view.

Screenshot from Elite Dangerous. Taken waaaaay higher above the rocky moon's surface than the previous photo. The curve of the moon's surface is clearly visible. The photo has been taken looking along the terminator, where day and night meet. Only a small slice of the moon is visible, the view mostly taken up by the "sky" (ie. space.)
On the left there's still dusk, with the star lighting up the sides of some taller hills, and giving the atmosphere its familiar gradient tint of red near the ground, yellow a bit higher, then green, and finally blue. To the right of the terminator it gets dark fairly fast, and the "glow" of the atmosphere goes dark.

In the sky is the galactic plane, looking sort of like a nebula – a sort of splotchy grey intermixed with brown, like clouds here on Earth near dusk or dawn. There are some actual nebulae visible too, with a fairly large but diffuse whitish one on the middle, then a smaller but brighter and more "compact" one a bit to its right, and then up and to the right is one that is so dark that it almost looks like a hole in the sky. Some stars are also visible, but surprisingly few considering the altitude
