The ITSM software we use at work has been enshitified with AI. We have to wait 20-30 seconds after opening the ticket for AI to analyze it before we can make notes or review data. We also have to wait 20-30 seconds for AI to generate a resolution note before closing it. So much time wasted.

I'm not endorsing piracy, but it sure seems like the only way to 'own' digital media is through piracy. There's no way to purchase digital media without a revocable license. Yeah yeah I'm aware a physical copy is also just a license but the studio isn't taking away my BluRays.

Had to call 911 this evening and was concerned when the call didn't show up in my call log. Turns out that's by design for privacy. It can prevent an abuser from seeing that 911 was called. I think that's a great design.

Watched Project Hail Mary for the 2nd time the other day. Enjoyed it even more. It's absolutely in my top 5 favorite movies, maybe even top 3. I can't wait for it to release on 4K Blu-Ray. I picked up a Panasonic UB820 (4k BD player) for the home theater and 4K BDs looks SO GOOD on it!

I spent about 4 hours at dusk setting it up, familiarizing myself with everything about it, and still only managed to get polar aligned before needing to go to bed. This is a complicated piece of hardware but I'll master it in time.

I'm so happy to share that this 3 month long project is over. We've finished converting the basement to a home theater! 77" 4K OLED, 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound with Klipsch reference speakers, and a big reclining sectional from the Theater Seat Store. Inaugural movie was Twister on 4K BD!
