Herbie is settling in to his new home. Emmy(Emerald), from last year’s St. Paddy’s Day bottle babies, is still hissing at him. After living with my adult cats I’m sure it does not even phase him. Herbie is still doling out the love. realcruzancats.org #catsofbluesky #adopt #donate

Mork has decided I am ok and tells me he wants attention pretty loudly. I think he will be a big boy looking at his big bones. If you ever want to adopt one of my fosters, we usually can find a traveler willing to escort to just about anywhere in the U.S. realcruzancats.org #catsofbluesky

I hate that they can not tell us where it hurts, or what their symptoms are. Veterinarians are amazing for figuring things out on many different species that cannot tell them what is wrong.

He was in the wrong yard if he wanted to keep them! I was walking out to prep 18 traps for trapping last evening. S/N is mandatory at this house.

So yesterday this little guy appeared on my porch. Had to be dumped since there are no new adults in the neighborhood. Trapped him last night, he was neutered today at the TNVR clinic. No ear tip since he is a foster. We are calling him Mork. He is a bit spicy. realcruzancats.org #catsofbluesky

I didn’t post this when it happened. I was feeling such rage that I was going to need bail if I ran into the person who did this. This is Chip. He went missing for two days and came home with his eyes filled with epoxy. Chip is doing much better after amazing vet care. realcruzancats.org #cats

Chip. A ginger cat who some piece of garbage human filled his eyes with epoxy.

Chip after over a week of intensive care. They saved his eyes!

I have only heard of two and one was an escaped Bengal and the other was a Himalayan. Both escaped when pet sitters were there. Both were missing for months and ended up trapped and at TNR clinics.

Attention New England … Help Merry be rehomed! There are NO ADOPTION FEES! This beautiful, 4 year old female cat was originally rescued in 2022 here in St Croix and adopted and relocated stateside. She started to not get along with her feline brother and so she kept herself secluded. She deserves to be happy and confident! She is currently in a foster home, doing great too! BUT MUST BE ADOPTED ASAP! She is super cuddly, likes to play, but generally is just curled up near her foster mom. No medical issues, just a dislike for dogs and other cats. She is quiet, a sweetheart who needs a human and a home all to herself. Are you that person? Please email rcc@realcruzancats.org so we can talk more

It took two hours to catch little Pam. The first hour was just searching for her, then I heard a tiny mew. I answered with a momma cat sound and she popped out. We spent an hour with her climbing on the trap, chasing a laser, etc. Used the remote to trip the trap. realcruzancats.org #catsofbluesky

I never introduced little Pam. I had to use my remote release on the trap to get her. She was living in the bumper of an SUV, in a shop parking lot, 20ft from a very busy intersection. I have had her almost a month now. realcruzancats.org #catsofbluesky #spayandneuter #tnr #donate

Kitten formulas are made from both cow and goat milk, they take out/add in all the things. You can use goat milk in a pinch, but better to find kitten milk replacer asap. There are recipes to make emergency formula. I raised one, in 1989, on Simulac and she lived to 19, but always craved sugar.

Toasttocin (LittleBitsOfFluff) @toasttocin.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Lyric is doing well. She had some 💩 issues from eating stuff a kitten should not eat. That seems to be clearing up. 🤞 Her mange is clearing up after treatment. Her spay incision looks great. She is playing with toys between long naps. She is still a bit glassy eyed, but feeling better. #kitten

Horribly off the mark. Cows are herbivores and cats are obligate carnivores. The composition of the two different milks are very different. A kitten drinking cow’s milk will actually be malnourished even with a full belly every feeding. It is also hard for them to digest so they have tummy troubles.

Check on your friends/family in the area with PTSD throughout the day. Keep pets indoors. Make sure if you walk your dog its collar/harness is secure so they can’t slip out. Valerian root is a great calming herb for dogs. Last about 12 hours.
