Tha famous "Formally The Blackball Hilton" on the night of May 11th 2024. With peak Solar Wind Speed of 1000km/s and Bz of -50nT. It might be awhile before we see them kind of figures again! This image was still taken while it was light outside. This kind of photo shouldn't be possible in NZ.

Our Aurora Forecast is up and live! This is an automated forecast similar to the ovation model the #NOAA produce, but takes into account local astronomical night time, and lunar activity. This is localized to West Coast of NZ, but can work for the rest of the South Island, with about 30min +/-
