That’s three distinct waves of Chinese immigration. Toisanese speakers have been in the US for the longest since the 1800s, Cantonese typically from the 1960s via Hongkong. And native mainlander Mandarin speakers from the modern era. We are very different culturally but don’t tell that to the PRC.

🚗Helping someone get a KIA EV3 wind today. with dealer bonus cash and CA's MyFirst EV its a tick above $30k. Nobody wants Bolts these days it seems even though a LT can be had for $25k OTD. people want carplay and not a 1 model year car.

At a American style Chinese take out in Ukiah and I start the order in speaking Cantonese, they replied in Mandarin, the manager? shouts across the room in Toisanese. For some instinct reason both of us automatically finished the order in English.

I only fill half a tank maybe at most once a month, month and a half. Just don’t use it that much. Was included in the restaurant I took over. Should have resold it when fuel was less expensive.

I dont know. I still have a lot of peel film i have not shot and i mostly lost my enthusiasm for it. I shot a lot in the 1990s->2010s as it was kinda cheap and fun. I prefer instant roll film. But thats not coming back or hold much nostalgia for many.
