Mirror Selfie - Contax T2 with ORWO UN54 developed with HC-110 1+31 for 6 minutes. Last week I developed a roll of UN54 using Rodinal, but on most of the photos I think the HC-110 provided smoother grain. Both had about the same amount of contrast & tonal range. #filmphotography #believeinfilm

Also, I may as well say that I don't think it's possible to only watch films that align with my every belief. That's not the point. My issue is that the classic film fandom will frequently silence discussions of problematic older entertainment, circle wagons around certain films and actors, etc.

Now three full days without crutches. I do not miss them. Still a slow process, some pain most of the time. But things take their time, I suppose. Being able to make my tea without it being a logistics operation has been a huge plus.

Garden photo shoot. From a glass plate negative in my collection, no date/info.

black and white photo of a young light skinned woman with her hair up in a neat bun. She's wearing a striped blouse with puffy sleeves and long skirt. I am not an expert but her style seems Edwardian to me. She is sitting on a grass lawn holding a shorthaired ginger tuxedo tabby cat in her lap. She is also looking down at a black cat sitting in what appears to be a cat bed made of rags beside her. Like a rag rug but small and round and cat-sized.

B&W Deli & Pizzeria I love the look I get from this 21mm Biogon lens. 34th Street, so right on the border between Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan. Contax III, Reflx Lab 50D AHU, ECN-2 development. #BelieveInFilm

People walk away from the intersection having just crossed the street. Behind them, a storefront with signs saying “B&W Deli & Pizzeria”; as a building on a corner, the sign if visible on both walls. There is a sign coming down from the awning on one street that says “Fresh Cut Flowers” with a large illustration of flowers.

Week 3 of 8 staying home. Lots of movies. Also can we just agree that Paul Lukas was absolutely positively no Philo Vance. For that role, it’s William Powell or Warren William only. Well, Basil was OK in The Bishop Murder Case, mostly cos he was so handsome 🤩
