Just got back from voting here in Michigan and I'm very pleased to report that my new precinct still had the 2024 stickers, which my old precinct ran out of before I voted in 2024. Very excited to see this year's winners lol.

Remembering the time I was playing Anomia with some friends and one of them had to name a blog and they said "Dog with a Blog" and we spent the next ten minutes arguing over whether or not that counted as a blog. Somehow the verdict ended up being yes.

Many things about Colbert doing a public access show in Michigan the day after his last Late Show are funny to me, but among the funniest is that I'm pretty sure this set is made out of the Mac OS X 10.3 default wallpaper flipped upside-down.

Just reached the end of the updated SNES Doom (I refuse to acknowledge Ep4 lol). Played a bit on Super NT and a bit on my original SNES, but it was incredible to see in both contexts. Lovely effort by @randallinden.bsky.social and everyone involved, happy to own a copy of such a cool project!

The ending text crawl to Doom, which reads:

"The loathsome spiderdemon that masterminded the invasion of the moon bases and caused so much death has had its ass kicked for all time.

A winning mahjong hand composed of 111m 7777m 222p 666s 33s scoring rinshan, toitoi, and seven dora for a total of 10 han and 24000 points.

If anyone wanted any proof that a yakuman is *not* in fact an automatic "win game" button in mahjong, this was the same game. Did save my ass from fourth place though!

My first ever Limited Run Games purchase is now accompanied by my first ever Limited Run Games delay lol. Understandable given the circumstances but still funny, it really is this company's destiny to fuck this shit up.

An excerpt from an email from Limited Run Games which reads as follows:

"Bringing the definitive version of the DOOM SNES experience back to the platform in 2025 was a no-
brainer for us. Creating retro hardware has some very unique challenges, all of which we were able to handle, except for the unexpected delay in obtaining one of the hardware components for the cartridge boards.

When our manufacturing partners informed us of the delay, we were faced with two options:

Change the part (which would result in incompatibilities with certain motherboards)
Maintain integrity and stay with the original design

The decision to delay wasn't easy, as we know everyone has been anxiously waiting for this release. We do have some good news, though. All of the boards have been manufactured, programmed, and are in testing!

Unfortunately, the following arrival changes must be made:

DOOM SNES: Late May Arrival
DOOM + DOOM II Will It Run Edition: Late July Arrival"
