They also mishandled the pandas and lost that exhibit probably permanently. And the additional amenities they offer like the splash park come at an additional cost. I got tired of paying for a membership then getting nickel and dimed at every turn when I visited. Crime didn’t factor at all for me.

I think it’s a cop out and complete bullshit to blame lower attendance on crimes. The zoo laid off almost its entire educational staff that did interactive exhibits in 2023. And they have raised membership prices every year. wreg.com/news/local/m...
