In the Netherlands, acceptance of LGBTQ+ people has dropped sharply among Dutch youth. This is part of a worldwide trend where LGBTQ+ rights are increasingly under pressure. This cartoon was published in Dutch newspaper @trouw.nl on September 25.

Cartoon showing people on the ground on all fours, using their mouths to rip a rainbow flag to shreds. Meanwhile, one person is hiding in a closet, afraid to come out.

Europe in a hostile world. This cartoon is the (hopefully) improved version of a cartoon I made in 1 hour during the Cartoon Battle at the Dutch Journalism Festival last weekend. You can see the original version in the next post in this thread. I wasn't very happy with it, but I did like the idea.

Blegh. My cartoon was stolen and published by Iranian propaganda newspaper Tehran Times. Just want to make it very, very clear I did NOT give my permission for this publication. Just because I'm not a fan of Donald Trump doesn't mean I support the bloody regime in Iran in any way.

Newspaper Tehran Times with my stolen cartoon published in it.

A political cartoon depicts a paddle steamer boat labeled 'TRUMPISM', with its stern teetering over the edge of a waterfall. Trumps stands in front at the helm. The vessel has a smokestack billowing dark smoke. The furnace door is open, and a worker with a red MAGA cap is looking at the stack of coal left in a large metal box labeled 'approval rating'; it is as good as empty. At the waterfall edge, a wooden signpost points downward and reads: 'WAR', 'COST OF LIVING', and 'EPSTEIN'.

Cartoon for Dutch newspaper @trouw.nl: www.trouw.nl/cartoons/tje... #Russia #Europe #Putin #HybridWar

An editorial cartoon showing a cutaway view of a Europe building being attacked by hybrid threats. On the left, cartoon drones marked with "Z" symbols fly toward Europe (labeled with an EU flag), while people lean out of windows trying to catch them with nets. Inside the building, three floors depict different threats: a man presents a flip chart labeled "Russian Threat, Hybrid War" to officials in a meeting room; a drone with a "Z" mark approaches a door marked "No Entry" while a hacker emerges from a computer screen to steal files from a cabinet; and in the basement, janitors are trying to fight off giant beetles with carapaces in the shape of Pinocchio's heads with long noses sticking up. One of the long noses has a flag labeled "Fake news" attached to it.
