This is one of the most impressive sun pillars I've ever seen....look at that beam of light shining straight up into the sky! I think this may be a contender for a Top 12 Sunrise for 2025. Perfect recipe for a pretty sunrise: mid level clouds with a break on the horizon.

EARTHQUAKE: Did you feel this small earthquake in Rhode Island last night? A magnitude 1.8 quake was centered about 3 miles east of Narragansett around 11:36PM. Felt in Warwick, South Kingstown and Newport.

Napatree Point in Westerly! It’s the western most point in Rhode Island. This morning’s sunrise was super cool, literally. It was 51°! In the sky, there were delicate thin cirrus clouds which seemed to emanate from the sun as it was rising.
