Maybe Advent isn’t about defending Christmas loudly, but living it deeply — with justice, compassion, and courage. So I’m asking: Am I afraid Christ is being taken out of Christmas… or am I losing Christmas within myself? Christ is still showing up — if we have eyes to see.

Even the Church of England has said the idea of Christ being pushed out is simply not true — the story is still front and centre in public life. Some want to “save Christmas” but seem to reject the truth that Jesus, Mary & Joseph were migrants seeking safety.

Create “Stories of Hope Wall” Gather stories of hope from across all generations. Set out sticky notes, index cards, or a QR code to a digital board. Invite kids, teens, adults, & seniors to share a short story or drawing of someone in the church who gave them hope. Display this in a shared space.
