Brayden Burries rewarded the 10 Bucks fans still watching this game with a sick driving dunk and clutch defensive rebound. Free throw game from there but Bucks held on to win 128-126. Jenkins went young with the rotation and while imperfect the team was both better and more fun.

Huge night for Kel’el Ware as funny as it sounds for a preseason game. If he’s good again tonight he’s probably got an inside track to start Opening Night

I think @tiwindisch.gspn.info has it right: if the alternative is the Kuzma experience we got last night, the Ament experience may not be as bad an alternative if he can show up like he did Monday www.si.com/nba/bucks/on...

There wasn’t much to love about the Bucks performance on Monday, but Nate Ament’s confident competence was a nice silver lining. I wrote about what I liked and why it’ll be tough to keep Ament out of the rotation if he continues to play well. www.si.com/nba/bucks/on...

The Bucks posted a photo of a lineup that could be their starting five: Rollins/Herro/Jaquez Jr./Kuzma/Turner. I like that lineup more than the Ware/Turner double-big group — here’s why, including the key to it working for Milwaukee: www.si.com/nba/bucks/on...

Kind of a funny wrinkle, but teams need to own the G League rights of a player even if they sign them to the NBA club on an Exhibit 10 then waive them. Stewart will play for Swarm full time and receive a bonus for reporting (the purpose of the E10 sign and waive)

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 16/09/2026
The Wisconsin Herd traded rights to Kobe Stewart, a wing who spent Summer League with the Bucks then signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Charlotte. Herd gets a 2nd round G League pick plus rights to Marcus Garrett & Evan Gilyard. Deal clears the way for Stewart to play for Swarm.

Giannis is already talking about returning to the Bucks and I love it. Similar to KG and the Wolves, Milwaukee would absolutely welcome Giannis back for his last chapter. It’d be a great end to a storybook career. www.si.com/nba/bucks/on...

The common thread between the last two big cap circumvention scandals in the NBA (Joe Smith & Kawhi Leonard) is paperwork. Both times a separate lawsuit (Smith’s agent moving firms, Aspiration) uncovered documented circumvention, THEN the NBA acted. Worth noting.

Can confirm the reporting that Rafael Castro hasn’t signed a two-way deal with the Bucks. Maybe he still gets one, but Kam Jones’ deal was made official prior to him playing the California Classic and Castro, who didn’t play the third game, has no such official deal yet.

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 04/07/2026
I wouldn’t worry too much about roster fit with Kam Jones and don’t think the signing signals anything besides they want a look at him. BPA is a good philosophy with two-ways because a worse player who conceptually fits probably doesn’t help you anyway.

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 04/07/2026
Kam Jones threads the needle between Oshkosh seat filler and legit prospect fairly well. Capable on ball guard drafted top 40 in 2025 but the three-point shot abandoned him between his senior season at Marquette and year one with Indiana/Noblesville. Gonna need to hit those.

Bucks made the right call taking Miami’s offer vs Boston’s picks and flipping Jaylen Brown. Paul George, 27 overall, three future firsts, and two seconds Vs Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis, Jaime Jaquez, 13 overall, two future firsts, 1 swap and 1 second

They're also something like $4M over the cap, but that is pretty immaterial at this point. Still have full MLE at $15M to spend or use to absorb salaries if they want to, plus the Giannis trade TPE. Tons of space before the tax line (~$30M)

I have the Bucks at 17 standard contracts with Dieng and Markovic in less than 24 hours into free agency. Easiest way to get to 15 would be waiving Nance (partial guarantee) and Harris, but trades still a definite possibility to open room.

Two thoughts on Gary Trent Jr: 1) None of the top NBA reporters (Shams, Stein, Fischer, Amick, Haynes) have mentioned a purported new deal with Milwaukee. 2) GTJ is a Bucks free agent, meaning they could've agreed to a new deal officially/publicly if it was happening.

Great game for Herd two-way player Cormac Ryan last night against the Windy City Bulls: 29 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 0 turnovers, and 2 steals on 53/60/100 shooting splits. Herd was +12 in his 33 minutes but lost by 1 still.

Jericho Sims missed 2 shots today which is a ton for him. You have to go all the way back to February 25 to find two Sims misses. Not two misses in the same game — two total misses. Jericho was 23/25 in his last nine games coming into this one.

Bucks are getting paint touches consistently and it’s opening up tons of shooters. 19 threes and all or very nearly all are assisted. Giannis (8), Rollins (6), Kuzma (5) all racking up assists. Great to see a healthier offensive product.

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 14/03/2026
Bucks throwing in the towel? Giannis is sitting the last H2H game the Bucks have left against any play-in team. Technically, this is the most important game remaining on the schedule. Maybe Giannis just happened to be hurt but this could signal a mindset shift.

Hard to argue with a FO that drafted KD, Harden, Westbrook, Chet, JDub, and traded for Shai. The talent that’s come through OKC is absurd

Wemby right there but I have some durability concerns, Jokic doesn’t play defense but durable and no drama. That’s my top 3. Cade close.

Forget best player or best scorer or MVP. Shai has become my number 1 Guy I’d Love to Build a Franchise Around. Zero drama, plays both ways, very available, just entering prime and still improving, super focused on winning and getting better. He’s exactly what you want.

Trying to keep track of the Bucks coaching staff philosophy. I thought we were going big to defend but I see KPJ Rollins and Cam Thomas playing late fourth quarter minutes in a close game.

Good to see Taurean Prince looking healthy. With that player option he’s probably back next season. I worried his whole career was in jeopardy but he’s moved well and just knocked down a three.

Very funny that the “why can’t you enjoy basketball” shtick is being used to defend Bam drawing 43 free throws against Anthony Gill & Tristan Vukcevic as the Heat foul Wiz guys late in a 150-129 win. Don’t blame Bam or Miami but we don’t have to pretend that was beautiful hoops.

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 11/03/2026
If Giannis can’t move on defense due to a tweaked ankle he shouldn’t be in the game. It’s a lost season and he’s recovering from a calf strain. What are we doing? Doc is going to say he wanted to sit him down but didn’t or couldn’t do it which is of course nonsense.

Ti Windisch @tiwindisch.gspn.info · 11/03/2026
Kuzma and Dieng have been great tonight and the game of basketball just looks radically different when you have wings playing at a high level on both ends. Also hat tip to Myles Turner splashing threes and making circus shots through contact as well.

Giannis seemed to tweak something on his pair of dunk attempts from a sweet full court feed from Ousmane Dieng. The Bucks are somehow letting him go right back in the game. This seems like a bad idea
