I do try to use different terrain elevations, and they *are* pretty. But I take your point about their utility. I may have to weigh my painting enjoyment with their use and cost (I'm thinking metal Front Rank minis).

Lovely, Sidney! For added realism and challenge, the approach to Fort Henry actually skirts some large islands (ignoring the river current). It might make for an interesting command challenge and modelling opportunity.

I can't do an order right now, but you should! The minis are great and the scenics are excellent, especially for games like Pillage or Five Leagues from the Borderlands.

Back row (l to r) is Orion, Zeus, Banshee and Hatchetman. To be fair, those are old sculpts, so many do look a bit goofier than new ones. But to be equally fair, some ARE pretty dated/goofy in that 80s mech style.

Final group of old orcs have received their makeover and new bases. I painted a base of snotlings to round out the numbers. It's interesting to see how my painting has evolved (the orcs were done at least 15 years ago)! Now back to new additions to the army. #oldhammer #midgard #spreadthelard

And I still have my Middle Earth Roleplaying box set from the late 80s. That was also awesome. But you're right: there's lots of variety now. It's not just lots of different flavours of D&D and few others now. There's something for everyone.
