Ok, I think I'm ready to go hardcore Belgian mode. my next project is going to be Flemish lace, not the torchon I've been doing so far. It's going to use finer threads + pins and more bobbins. The piece I'm making, smaller than a credit card, needs 118 bobbins... I have a lot of winding to do!

116 wooden lace bobbins, mostly danish and some square continental, in crocheted strips that keep them organized. there's also a pincushion, a plastic box that hold pins, some thread, the printed technical drawing.

update: my needle book now has a labeled page for pricker pins!!! i did a quick lil embroider and sew :)

the giraffes are true baby-babies though, two 4 month olds and one that's just 45 days old and they're SO TALL!!! they had a huge baby boom this year, there's also a baby rhino, three baby cheetahs, a hyena, a camel, two gazelles, bat-eared foxes, several sika deer. 🥺

botanicals were my thing and i started including punch needle techniques at some point. that second one was a commission for a wedding gift!
