I love going to Europe, but flying back and forth twice in the past 4 weeks has been a bit of a drain on me. Not so much the travel but the time zone changes.

I get home Saturday. Get my dog. Cuddle with him for the rest of the day. Pack up and drive to her house on Sunday I will work from there next week. I love remote working from her place. I usually have dinner waiting for her when he gets home. I love spoiling her.

When I don’t speak German, navigating a train ticket for the Intercity Express is a little scary. Train is moving but am I on the right train? I guess we shall find out! TBF, all the Germanic languages are scary. 😂🤣

I tend to eat like a bird. Well, the metaphorical bird, not the kind of eats its weight by time over in a day. So when I’m on business trips, I feel like I waste a lot of food because I can’t take it back to the hotel where there’s no refrigerator.

I'm going to withhold judgement because it is 9:56 am on a Sunday in Frankfurt, but I am sitting in my hotel bar drinking gin and noticing that the employees on staff appear to be a bunch of "normies." I will be deeply saddened if IHG came in and ruined a cool hotel chain.

I’ve always thought that it was unnecessary to use the “not all men” argument - and usually mock other men who use it as a response - because I assumed it was a given. However, not one in 50 men in that chat dialed 911.

Changing zoom forces Word to redraw the page, which is why the missing text suddenly appears. Microsoft documents zoom as a display-only setting, and there are reports of other Word display/cursor problems temporarily correcting themselves after switching to 100%.

Are you using g a laptop with an external monitor? Try this: Go to File → Options → General → User Interface Options. If you see “When using multiple displays,” change it to “Optimize for compatibility,” then completely exit Word and reopen it.

I dont really get the whole beverage at all job interview thing. Usually, I’ve been offered a water or coffee at an interview. If interviewer doesn’t offer a beverage to the interviewee, maybe that’s also a red flag. An hour or so if talking with no liquid? Rude!

Whatever you do, don't smoke an entire brisket at a job interview, it's a lot of equipment to bring in, it takes a really long time to do it right and those conference rooms have notoriously poor ventilation
