There is about to be a massive wave of angry Boomers and Gen X. Millennials and Gen Z are fed up with being left behind. This won't just be a blue tsunami—we'll vote out any mayor, governor, or federal politician who fails their local communities.

Nazi Germany voted away its democracy, Britain voted away its prosperity, and the US voted away both. Propaganda kills and troll farms are a weapon of war. Half measures and civilian counter propaganda and fact checking isn’t enough. We can’t win a war against an enemy that controls our minds.

Right now the government is putting our communities, our water security and our climate ambitions second to the demands of tech giants. It's time to slam the brakes on water-guzzling, energy hungry datacentres.

Lastly TikTok is known for having the best algorithm out of any other social platform. While Upscrolled has a chronological algorithm that users find off putting and less engaging. I hope they find a solution to these issues so far they have yet to seriously engage in tackling any of them.

1. They don't have a verification system yet. This leads to scam accounts consistently stealing content and claiming it as the orginator when it is not the case. 2. Poor moderation and moderation tools. Upscrolled has a horrific problem with bots and scam accounts. See more below⬇️

I've been looking into the reason more people aren't adopting Upscrolled as a viable alternative over TikTok and here are the main reason I've seen across the board for most people that have genuinely tried to make the switch. See more below⬇️

Civil discourse and nuance are admirable goals, but in the current political climate, good luck. Bluesky grew because it positioned itself as an alternative to X—that's the reality. If that's the community you've attracted, don't alienate it by pretending that wasn't part of the platform's appeal.

The White House illuminated in rainbow-colored lights at night. Bright green, blue, yellow, and red lighting washes across the white columns and façade, creating a vibrant Pride-themed display against a dark evening sky. An American flag is visible flying above the building.
