Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 30/04/2026hello publisher. yes, thank you for your time. okay, here is my pitch: Terrible Indie Game. it's a card-collector roguelike with inconceivably massive skill trees. it's a few years behind on the zeitgeist for every possible design trend. every joke is dated to february of 2009. i need $200,000. thx. 041
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 22/04/2026:) Weirdly encouraging (my first game took a couple years, had similar breaks), thank you. 010
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 22/04/2026Yeah, similar. What kills me is, at the end of last year/into this year, I really *was* making consistent progress on stuff. But when it stops, it really grinds to a halt for a while haha. Meh. Thank you though, that's affirming. 010
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 22/04/2026I do have other hobbies, this might actually be a little helpful lol. Thank you. 110
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 22/04/2026Hey indie devs. Any tips on how to maintain creative momentum even when you're not "feelin' it"? I know steady, consistent progress is the key to *everything* but I find it difficult in those times when "real life" is wearisome and mentally draining. 😔 361
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 14/04/2026a little tip for all you indie developers out there -- just increase the Sales variable on your next game👍 041
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 07/04/2026have been BUSY lately, whew time to return to regular game development rhythm this is your reminder to get hype for Shplief 020
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 17/03/2026Wow! I can't believe the difference the NVIDIA DLSS 5 made for Octobug, it's never looked better! Digital Foundry calls this a "revolutionary innovation"! 072
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 14/03/2026starting to really hit me that i'm about halfway done with my next commercial release 😊 #Shplief 010
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 13/03/2026love when an evening of game development is spent mostly on troubleshooting a finicky issue yeah love those nights oh my grit teeth? it's a smile, totally, i promise love troubleshooting 041
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 12/03/2026*squint* be honest with me ... when i make this guy real little , can you still tell it's a dinosaur ? 👀 540
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 12/03/2026One not-insignificant motivation for me, as a free-time indiedev -- I really want my kids to see their dad succeed at creative endeavors. 020
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 12/03/2026so uhhh the creator of Wordle released a new game called Parseword and, spoiler alert, if you enjoy that sort of 'cryptic crossword' thinking -- you'll be ready for my upcoming game Shplief (in fact Shplief will be way easier lol) 052
Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 11/03/2026if YOU can identify at least two of these icons then congrats: YOU will be ready for Shplief! #SHPLIEF #SHPLIEF #SHPLIEF #SHPLIEF 010

Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 11/03/2026I think I wanna follow more indiedevs. Y'all are inspirational and great. I should get on that. 040

Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 10/03/2026In the game Shplief, you will solve puzzles, and each puzzle will be numbered and have a title. Similar to a crossword, some answers you may derive merely from the clue given. Others, you will likely figure out from the options provided. And some will just feel unfair! 😁 110

Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 26/02/2026One fun thing about game development: Every once in a while you have an idea (not a game concept, more of a mechanical thing), and you realize you're not sure if you can do it -- and there's only one way to find out. Put it in and try! And it's fun. 🙂 030

Tiny Bookshelf @tinybookshelf.itch.io · 25/02/2026So I'm working on a weird little game called Shplief. Started in October. Casual budget puzzler, touch/mouse controls. Pretty simple, modest scope. My goal was to put 200 puzzles in there for people to solve. I am at 71... a release by the end of the year feels realistic! 😊 150
