One phone, one watch and three different versions of this weekend’s swim trajectory. Phone in my floatie wins for accuracy. Probably because it never went underwater and lost contact with Apple’s location services.

we can predict tides to the centimeter but the water right off the beach where people actually swim is still a blind spot. rip currents, temperature swings and wave energy that no buoy miles offshore is gonna catch. we are working on closing that gap 🌊 #Bobbers

Decisions made without data are guesses. swimmers find that out the hard way when the swell shows up and the models don't. we can predict tides to the centimeter but still can't tell you what's happening at your actual beach. the ocean is powerful, and largely unmeasured. #Bobbers
