Amazon sent me a email: "New releases by authors you love." I look at the new releases. Sir, I do not love these authors. I have never even read these authors. Jeff, your AI is failing you. #Booksky

Ok, so the pianist (blue guitar) is the reason this sounds even remotely like Smells Like Teen Spirit. The lead guitarist (drums) was good for like a hot second and then he lost it. 😂 This is great, tho.

The writing for The Duprees on #BeyondTheGates is so frustrating. They are supposedly so powerful and yet can't manage to neutralize two of most bumbling of grifters. Also, SOAP 101, your villains are supposed to suffer satisfying punitive consequences.

No flack here. I agree 100% I didn't even get to the end, I bailed somewhere early season 4.

My husband is my husband for a reason. This man will randomly preface a statement with "By Grabthar’s hammer..." Today it was "By Grabthar’s hammer, I will never get my oil changed there again!'

- In MV - I had these Crab cakes with an aoili that hit every pleasure center on my tongue. - In NOLA - a Shrimp soufflé that, if I had been home, I would have licked the plate - In Kingston, ON - a key lime pie with a dark chocolate crust

We took the Coast Starlight train trip from LA to Seattle. It was probably the only travel experience I've had where the actually getting from one place to another was as fun as the destination. We did it on a whim, but the train experience itself became part of 'where we went.'

But even so, it is very well cast with a group of charismatic actors. It pays homage to the original in all the right ways. It incorporates the OG cast very well. And best of all, it is unapologetically black while also reminding us that black people come in all types and flavors.

The new #ADifferentWorld reboot was wonderful! 9/10. I give it a 9 because -- and I don't think this is on the writers, but is on the tv industry -- it felt like they tried to put a lot into 10 episodes. As a result sometimes it felt like the plotlines don't get a chance to relax-relate-release.

Shaquille is a very nice looking man. After finding out who his mama is, makes sense. I don't mind that it is her who only made one appearance on the show. It doesn't make sense for them all to have limited themselves to only each other. I liked that it wasn't one of the regulars. #ADifferentWorld

Back-to-back Ilona Andrews badassery! Sweep of the Blade - part of the innkeeper series. The whole series is top tier, but this side quest into Maude's story is perfection. Fated Blades - part of the Kinsmen series. Also a fun series but this rival to lovers installment is giddy mayhem. 🪐📚 💙📚

A snippet re: the humor from my Goodreads review: The humor isn't cloying or even pervasive. But there is a lightness of tone, a dryness of wit that abounds. The crackling battle of wits between the King and his high maintenance daughter is delightful. As is the banter between Damin and his brothers

000

TinaNoir @tinanoir.blacksky.app · 07/09/2026

A fair number of the characters are family so there is a kinda comfortable, lived in humor in the dialogue that family possess that they know each other well and riff on each other. The first book is the most serious of the trilogy. Not dark, but a little heavy. The 2nd book is where it gets lighter

TinaNoir @tinanoir.blacksky.app · 06/09/2026

Jennifer Fallon's Wolfblade trilogy is superb. 10/10. No notes! Great cast of characters, a plot built brick built brick, the long game with great pay off, some surprises, some tragedies, lots of triumph and even some excellent humor. #booksky 🪐📚

Covers of the book trilogy, first book features a woman in front of a castle in a purple cloak, second features a young man in warrior garb looking out a castle window, third book feature blond young man in warrior garb with a sword

I think Clorox is the company, but the products being recalled -- Mistolin and Lestoil, don't actually contain any bleach, if I am not mistaken. It seems like they have cleaning agents, but are not bleach based.

12/25 It took a bit to work through the list to figure out who I knew. Most of them I could not identify just by the picture --for instance, I have never actually seen Dhar Mann. Or name, I never knew the the Subway Takes guy's name LOL -- and his picture is iffy as well.

It is a shame because Season 1 of Sleepy Hollow was spectacular! Season 2 was marred by the love for Katrina Crane , but the finale episode in S2 was one of the best of the series. And then Season 3 came and it shat on the entire show. Retroactively soured me on it. Can never re-watch.
