there's a setting that lets you go back to the old text-to-speech voice, but they removed the old voice's ability to say street names for some reason so it's basically useless now

the article completely fails to acknowledge the main reason it’s been #1 for so long, which is that the algorithms have decided it should be

don’t forget about Wii Music U too (I still have hope)

120

Tin @tin.zone · 07/09/2026

pretty accurate, although I'd give Sonic CD another point just because the music and graphics are such a good vibe

I remember really liking this game back in the day. It had a surprisingly good quest/environment editor, based on the golf games the developer made (Avatar Golf was probably the best XBLIG game ever made imo)

Me and @anpucamilla.bsky.social won Arcade Pit! I saved my winning drawing of an Arwing shooting down Andross so it's now preserved for eternity

Tin @tin.zone · 05/07/2026

In just over 2 hours, me and my friend @anpucamilla.bsky.social will be on Arcade Pit, the twitch game show hosted by Smight! Please enjoy this logo that was provided for marketing purposes for things like this tweet, and also give it a watch at twitch.tv/smight!

it's funny to think about how there's probably a non-zero amount of code from Midtown Madness 2 in GTA 6

What are your favorite and least favorite games from 50 Short Games, and why?

110

Tin @tin.zone · 23/06/2026

Big fan of the site Glorious Trainwrecks, which you uploaded a bunch of games to. Were there any games you played from there that really stood out to you?

don't worry, the intergalactic police officer removed Rich from his position as CEO when he honked his Horn of Justice, so he has no say in how company funds are spent anymore

I like going through old screenshots on my computer because sometimes I find things like this

an article on the Lunchables Wiki titled "Asparagus", with the text "someone delete this page now"

every direct I lose a little bit more hope that they're ever going to announce Wii Music U

My memory of what it was like to browse the Xbox Live Indie Games store page in 2010

My artist’s impression (meaning not real, parody) of Xbox Live Indie Games (XBLIG) circa 2010. One is called "DEKIRU-KA" (Japanese for "Is it possible"), with colored geometric shapes, indicating it's maybe some kind of abstract puzzler. The other is called "Pirates vs Ninjas: Quest for the Epic Bacon" in a pixel font and with a pixelated picture of bacon.

I sometimes wonder as a thought experiment how feasible it would be to charge $1,000,000 for a video game you made and sell one copy to an ultra-rich person. Would that be easier than selling 100,000 copies at $10, for instance?
