I love this sort of thing, but excruciating at what needs to be left off! Two LPs my parents had which can’t be found on here. Peter Gabriel’s “So”, Kate Bush “Hounds of Love”, Paul Simon “Graceland”, Brian Eno “Apollo”. And others. But these are about the most shaping of core tastes #My9Albums

Ice Age → animals such as woolly rhinoceros and hyena Late Upper Palaeolithic/Mesolithic → hunter-gatherer flint and chert tools Neolithic → burial of at least 20 people, pottery, stone tools, jet objects and a Graig Lwyd axe → the extraordinary Neolithic Gop Cairn immediately above the cave

Just downhill from The (huge) Gop #Neolithic Cairn (2nd largest #prehistoric mound in the UK), are The Gop Caves. Good to have another poke around and marvel - AS the eclipse was edging off. Millennia of Life and Death has occurred in those recesses and shelters. #NorthWales #AncientSites

Got up close to a favourite tree in the #DelamereForest I’ve long admired from afar (first picture in February). The odd one out in a large swathe of pine. Which is why it’s a favourite. Beautiful tree, beautiful forest. #FavouriteTree #OddOneOut #ILoveTrees #TreeHugger

Gosh yes - that’s sad. Also have two memories of deceased friends linked to it. First visited after seeing a friend who has now died, and another friend was in a hospice at the time and made my picture of this her profile picture a few days before she passed. Thanks for pointing out though 🙏

Walk out to Woolsbarrow #IronAge #Hillfort in #Wareham Forest today, a haunt of my youth. Took a further detour to have a peep at a #BronzeAge bowl barrow hitherto visited. Turned out to be well worth the walk - a good size barrow, and the forest as enjoyable as ever.

A bit of time in the #woods. Very little fungi yet with it being so dry, but there was this splendid solo #mushroom standing proud. Good to see and give soul-handshakes to some favourite #trees. And I think some #DutchmansVine wangling around another plant. Among other golden hour delights.

#Backrooms. If #DavidLynch’s work has ever done anything for you, I really recommend Backrooms. My second viewing yesterday. A month ago I saw three films in a day. It’s this one I keep thinking about. Straightforward atmospheric #horror? metaphor for repressed trauma? Compelling #mystery?

Have wanted to visit there for about 30 years! I’ll have a video for it - will give you a nudge when it’s done. I thought of you and other stones-friends many times. The walk to it is a marvel as well - trees, mountains, a waterfall with a plunge pool. A thorough soul immersion and nourishment.

My marathon last weekend was cancelled, so visited Dinas Emrys the most important #ancientsite connected with #Welsh🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 legend and identity. A sense of connection with I think the only place which has archaeology for #Arthurian legend. Also the site linked to why Wales has a Red Dragon. Amazing place

Film 1/3 yesterday: Masters of The Universe Absolute Joy from start to finish. Very funny, is aware of how silly much of it may sound and runs with it. A lot of laughs, much nostalgia and moist eyes a few times for it. Important and post-credit scenes. #HeMan #MastersOfTheUniverse

#DisclosureDay If you’ve ever enjoyed X-Files or a #StevenSpielberg film about #aliens, you’ll love this. 30+ years ago I began my honours thesis for my #theology degree, contemplating the issues which this film explores. I will have more to say! Gripping, well paced, emotional and thoughtful.

Good 10.5km run to trace the course of a huge (originally) #IronAge #earthwork (numbers 4 to 12 on the tracking map). Additions from Romans and Anglo Saxons. Part of the context of the #Durotiges settlement which has been called #Duropolis, for me it’s a worthy and enjoyable exploration.

Magical afternoon exploring The #DevilsChapel In the #ForestofDean a labyrinthine landscape, vegetation hanging all around. Caves and drops surround, occasionally the scent of leafmould and pockets of cooler air emanating from the rocks hinted at air flows from cooler places. Absolutely amazing.

Official CD release for the #Phaedra 50th anniversary gig of #TangerineDream at the #Barbican. Sometimes something extra turns up in the music, more than just the musicians doing their stuff, a presence, a tangible something or other. This was one of those concerts, and, I was there 🙂👌🍊😴

“These plants are just sticks with flowers on the end!” remarked a customer with great irritation twice to his companions, as his rationale for NOT buying them. I did guffaw aloud as I was tidying up nearby. These #azaleas of which he spoke look stunning at the moment #Gardening #GardenCentre
