Tickets for Godzilla Minus Zero secured. I cannot imagine a world where I don’t go see it multiple times. I really hope they do a Minus Color version again.

I would like someone to honor these prices from my 1987 Star Wars price guide. I wish I had more allowance to spend back then. (These are prices for carded figures)

Completely blows my mind that this came out 35 years ago. It’s just kind of unfathomable. Sure, I wasn’t quite old enough to drive yet so obviously it was a long time ago, but I remember the day I bought it so vividly.

Showed of the 1989 Toybiz Batman and Batmobile on @perfectlyexcellent.bsky.social last night. Among the last toys I remember getting as a kid that were meant to be played with as toys (I was 12 when they came out). Always really dug these and happy to have found nice ones for the collection.

The loose Knight Rider Turbo Booster isn’t from the show, but I picked it up at a store called Uncle Bob’s that I hit on the way home. So excited to finally have a loose one that still has paint in the car. The carded one I picked up a bit ago, but it felt like the right time to show it off.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve learned to be a little more understanding and happy for people to like the things they like, regardless of my opinions. You do you, I’m not going to judge or gatekeep. Unless you call a hot dog a ‘glizzy.’ If you do that, you are a terrible person.

Here we have the last big pickup from last week’s @perfectlyexcellent, and it’s really the biggest one I can think of. This is the Disco Dance Machine. It was made by Ohio Art in 1979 using the shell of a turntable/jukebox design from a company called Emenee.

The yellow Lego 6075 Castle was the first Lego set I remember getting. This set lived at my Dad’s house and I just remember building so many yellow things. The mini figures were great with the jousting dudes and their helmets and the alternate kingdom apparel so you could wage some battles.

The 4th pickup shown off on Thursday’s Perfectly Excellent probably isn’t super exciting to many, but it’s an important one to me. This Fusher Price tape recorder was the first tape player I ever owned. I took it everywhere listening to the Blues Brothers more times than I could possibly count.

Number 3 on the list of pickups shown on Thursday night’s episode of Perfectly Excellent is the Kenner Knight Rider talking K.I.T.T. I loved Knight Rider right along with all of the other goofy action shows of that time. I especially liked shows that had cars that were essentially characters.

This is the 2nd pickup I showed off on Thursday’s show. It’s the 1982 Tomy Kongman mechanical game. While I never had this specific one, I did have similar windup style toys that moved around ball bearings as a kid.
