When I visited this spot last time, I decided against trying to go to the base because it seemed too dangerous. I almost gave up this time, but then found a rope to descend the canyon wall.

There's actually a taller, plunge type waterfall above it but from the base it's just out of view. Lots of composition options here, but some of them require being in precarious positions.

I've photographed Háifoss several times, so during my most recent visit to the area, I decided to focus on Granni instead. The recent rains had things flowing well and the low clouds added a softening element to the scene. #timothykeeneyphotography #photography #landscapephotography

The valley of Botnsá near the Glymur waterfall seemed to be the epicenter of autumn color in Iceland with birch trees putting on quite the show. Glymur is the main attraction here, but this scene ended up being one of my favorites. #timothykeeneyphotography #photography #landscapephotography

Thank you! You definitely should. It's beautiful in all seasons, but so different. I managed to do this same hike last January and with the snow and ice, these waterfalls didn't look nearly as interesting. I think for others, the ice makes them look better.

Iceland has a lot of spectacular waterfalls, but this pair is near the top of the list for me. The scene makes me marvel at how nature could create something so beautiful. To help with scale, I estimate the upper drop to be ~50-60 feet. #timothykeeneyphotography #photography #landscapephotography
