The latest addition to my history of pH library. At some point that, in the meantime, large collection should lead to a paper/book. Note by the way that Schwabe in 1953 is still using a different notation than Mansfield Clark in the late 20’s claimed would be the standard. #histSTM #chemsky

Finished Kit Chapman’s The Age of Alchemy. Well written; even if the author cuts a few corners here and there and cannot resist trying to be funny in his footnotes. The book places the development of chemistry in a historic context. Excellent introduction after which one could read Lawrence Principe
