One might wonder if this isn’t surreptitious promotion of his opposition.

Also, 30 yr Treasuries highest in over 20 years but I’m not seeing much chatter on this (as opposed to earlier this year whence there was much gnashing of teeth)

Kind of surprised more people aren’t talking about SpaceX slowly tanking. Still about 10x overvalued, though.

This one of the most misunderstood interpretations of ”wealthy country“. If your country is number 2 on average and doesn’t even appear in the top 20 on median, most of the people living in your country are “not wealthy“

The outlier in this chart (the 37% of strong Republican and Slightly Liberal who identify as non-religious) is a particular segment of conservative men trying to get laid

In a rational world, a referendum to force anyone with more than $1 billion to give all of their wealth in excess of $1 billion to the general population would presumably pass with 99.9997% of the vote.
As of late 2025, there are approximately 905 billionaires in the United States, a tiny
fraction of the population that represents less than 0.0003% of the roughly 340 million
U.S. residents. While the number of individuals with a net worth over $1 billion is
increasing, they remain a very small, exclusive segment of the top 1%.

It seems a bit misleading to imply (per chart) that equities are important or significant for lower 50% because value has doubled when the % of net wealth has increased from just 0.5% to 1.1%? This would be barely noticeable in quantitative terms.
Chart showing that the percentage of lower 50% net wealth in equities has increased from 0.5% in 2019 to slightly over 1.0% in 2025

This chart is giving me rage but not because of wealth inequality
A chart that actually makes no sense at all and definitely doesn’t imply the thing the caption states

Don’t even get me started on Forrest Mandeville‘s thoughts on climate change. I wonder where he gets his information?
"I think that the impacts of putting carbon into the atmosphere is overblown," Mandeville said. "I don't think it's as big of a deal as some people make it out to be, and if we're going to have a modern economy, we're going to need electricity."

Even “climate lab” reporters can get sucked into big oil propaganda. Sizing solar generation correctly is not “overbuilding” and the existence of “cold snaps” is unrelated to generation efficiency!

Seems bad
According to the research team, the consequences of this reversal are already becoming visible. The upwelling of deep, warm, COz-rich waters is believed to be driving the accelerated melting of sea ice in the Southern Ocean. In the long term, this process could double current atmospheric CO, concentrations by releasing carbon that has been stored in the deep ocean for centuries-potentially with catastrophic consequences for the global climate.
