Dave’s point about the antenna length is very valid. People forget that once you go longer than 0.8 wavelength that you are lessening low angle performance. I find 29ft a v good length for 40-12m. On lowest band aim for no shorter than 3/16 of wavelength long. So 25ft can work ok 40-10m.

Ah yes. There was some decent short skip on 15/20m too which helped the scoring. Lots of EU005 around.

It’s 2026. You order a small item (3x15m paracord from Mountain Warehouse. Done Monday to click and collect from store 11 miles away. You’re told you will receive email saying it’s there for collection. It’s Friday. No email. MW say this will take 5 working days. Wonder why the high street is dying?

The fact you don’t see too many for sale used just shows how highly folks regard them it seems to me.

145 Alive and Facebook. Another well attended event. Yet even more people moaning about the lift on 2m that “ruined my day” as I heard 3 nets on one frequency. Others saying that the organisers must’ve been drunk to pick those frequencies. Absolute arse wipes. Who said amateurs are negative?
