The Trump medicines deal hit the headlines today. Billions could be siphoned from our NHS to Big Pharma, which would mean this deal could cost more lives in England than Covid. That’s why we and @justtreatment.org are taking the UK Government to court, to fight back. Share this video!

So the trade deal the UK govt signed with the US will lead to lots of us dying needlessly because billions of NHS funding is being diverted from essential services to bolster the profits of US big pharma.

Great to see a mention of our and @justtreatment.org's work in Parliament as MPs called for gov to come clean on the true costs of the US-UK medicines deal. This deal with Trump could cost BILLIONS, and hundreds of thousands of lives - yet has not been subject to a democratic vote.

The UK Government said the NHS would never be on the table in a trade deal with Trump. But that’s exactly what’s about to happen. It looks like they’re about to agree a deal with the US that will see the NHS forced to pay BILLIONS more for medicines.

The Trump administration is using U.S. trade power and extreme tariffs to bully other countries into binding agreements that undermine affordable and readily available access to medicines. Experts from around the world offer an alternate vision:

Pressure grows on ministers to end secrecy around UK-US zero tariff drug deal
Critics say government is concealing ‘true cost’ of deal, ‘despite being forced to admit the financial burden will grow year on year’ Ministers are under growing pressure to end the “secrecy” around the UK’s deal with the US over the cost of medicines, which critics claim is “a Trump shakedown of the NHS”. MPs from Labour and several opposition parties want the government to publish its impact assessment of the agreement it reached last month with Donald Trump’s administration. Continue reading...
