Drop some PHONES
A still from the BBC Doctor Who show from the seventies. It depicts Tom Baker playing Doctor Who on a land line handset, its chord strung off screen, with TARDIS behind him in what looks like a typical office of the era.

One part of nuclear waste disposal is designing symbols that will communicate danger across countless millennia, even to different species. This is the solution they’ve been looking for all this time.
A close up of a comic panel from the Beano. It is a silhouette of Biffo the Bear in a comics-approximation of the simple gender symbols for toilets.

Post a vampire that isn’t Dracula…
A comic book panel of Becky Burdock Vampire Reporter, who is a reporter that is a vampire. Written & drawn by her creator, Paul Grist from his Jack Staff comic book series.

It is a plain white panel with Becky walking whilst looking at some papers. In the left there are four dialogue boxes that read:

‘When I was younger I used to be scared walking home in the dark.

Really. I used to see MONSTERS in the SHADOWS.

I imagined there were BOGIEMEN waiting to leap out of privet hedges at me.

I dont worry about that so much nowadays.’

Becky is walking in front of the title, at the bottom of the panel:
‘BECKY BURDOCK

A low resolution screenshot of Noseybonk, from early 80s BBC children’s programme Jigsaw. It is a man in a black dinner jacket, white shirt and very pale blue bow tie in a park looking directly at the viewer.

They are wearing a cartoon style sculpted, painted white face mask and a greyish unkempt wig. The mask has a cheek bulging fixed grin, displaying large teeth as disturbingly white as their lips. Large bulging, lidless eyes with no irises, echoing in their nostrils, which brings us, inevitably to the nose, where the characters’s name becomes apparent. It extends the best part of a foot in front of his face, with a large, bulbous tip, the phallic allusions are painfully obvious. The combined effect is quite disturbing.

Same energy:
Vincent Vega (John Travolta) & Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) in a scene from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. They are in suits & black tie walking down a corridor about to retrieve Marsellus Wallace’s suitcase, which doesn’t end well for the residents of the apartment they are about to visit.

‘But I thought they wouldn’t eat my face’
A post from the WHCA (White House Correspondents Association).

It reads:

The president said it plainly in the Oval Office, describing his own planned action as a "ban on the free press."

The Constitution protects the freedom of the press from government interference. That protection does not depend on whether the president likes a news organization's coverage, agrees with its reporting, or approves of the questions its journalists ask.

This is about more than the rights of journalists. It is about the right of the American people to receive a full and independent account of the activities, policies and decisions of whoever occupies the nation's highest office.

The WHCA stands in defense of our colleagues at CNN, MSNOW, and Politico who are being singled out for doing their jobs.

- Jacqui Heinrich, WHCA President

He’s a liar. He lies about everything. The Tories & Labour cannot deal with him because of incompetence or will not deal with him because they agree with his fascist agenda.
A post from Nigel Farage on a fascism promoting website owned & run by a white South African from a privileged background it reads:

for six years now, Labour and the Tories have facilitated an invasion of our country.
We are on the edge of serious civil unrest.
The only solution is the ballot box. Only Reform will end the invasion.

At a party given by a billionaire on Shelter Island, Kurt Vonnegut informs his pal, Joseph Heller, that their host, a hedge fund manager, had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his wildly popular novel Catch-22 over its whole history. Heller responds, "Yes, but I have something he will never have ... enough."

Enough. I was stunned by the simple eloquence of that word-stunned for two reasons: first, because I have been given so much in my own life and, second, because Joseph Heller couldn't have been more accurate.

For a critical element of our society, including many of the wealthiest and most powerful among us, there seems to be no Limit today on what enough entails.

Pages 2&3 of The Forever People #4 (August 1971).
Pages 2&3 of Forever People #4 (August 1971) written & pencilled by Jack Kirby, inked by Vince Colletta, original colorist unknown, color reconstruction by Drew R. Moore & Dave Tanguay, lettering by John Costanza.

It depicts a view screen surrounded by Kirby Tech that shows an amusement park, Happyland with a merry go round , ‘Castle of Wonder’, a brass band, clowns and in the foreground is a large clown like character style carnival float and in it’s open mask are several people looking distressed, yet ‘HA HA HAHAHA HAHAHAH’ emanates from the float. What could be happening here?
There is a caption box in the top left that reads ‘AND WHO AMONG US WOULD RUSH TO AID THE VICTIMS OF THIS CRUELTY - - WHEN THE SIGHTS WE SEE AND THE SOUNDS WE HEAR ARE BRIGHT AND JOYOUS? FOR ARE WE NOT IN “HAPPYLAND” - - CONCEIVED IN A WORLD CALLED APOKOLIPS - - AND BUILT ON EARTH BY THE SUBTLE, THE CLEVER - - THE EVIL - - DESAAD?
There are masked and hooded minions along the bottom of the page looking at the view screen whilst turning dials and pressing buttons. Their dialogue reads:
Minion #1: ‘THE MASTER “SCRAMBLER” IS WORKING SMOOTHLY! THE FOOLS TRAPPED IN THAT IMAGE LITTLE REALIZE THAT WE ARE DISTORTING THEIR CRIES INTO LAUGHTER!’
Minion #2: ‘LIKE US, THESE HUMANS ARE SERVING THE NEEDS OF DESAAD! BUT I’M CERTAIN THAT HE FINDS THEM MORE ENTERTAINING’
Minion #3: ‘BUT WHAT CAN DESAAD BE PLANNING THAT BRINGS THE GREAT DARKSEID TO THIS PLACE? THE CRAFT BEARING HIM APPROACHES NOW!’

A post from the richest man in the world whining about a film on the website he owns and tries to impress Nazis on. The text of his post reads:

Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer

The chances are anybody who reads this is immeasurably richer in ways that actually count. He is not a gentleman of quality.

I’d read this comic to see if there’s any information about them in it but it’s telling me not to…
The cover of Multiversity: Ultra Comics #1 by Grant Morrison, Doug Mahnke & David Baron (May 2015). It depicts a character in a superhero costume on fire, they are looking out directly at the reader with a look of shock, their left hand pointing towards the reader, their right pulled back as if they’re about to punch whatever they are looking at.

The typeface blurb reads:
only YOU can SAVE THE WORLD!
If you VALUE YOUR LIVES,
You MUST NOT (‘NOT’ is in red marker pen as if it has been added afterwards by someone else)
READ THIS COMIC BOOK!

The blurb is all uppercase but I have capitalised the words that are larger than the rest

This is what he’s so excited about, which as usual with this pair only raises more questions.
The cover to the 1967 Beano Summer Special. It is a beach scene, the tide is out as the end of the pier pictured is not in the sea. There are children building a sandcastle in the background, someone in a deck chair reading a paper, people in the sea and some sort of ferry boat on the horizon.

Biffo the Bear is diving headfirst off the pier onto what we can only assume is the beach itself rather than the sea, although Buster’s speech bubble “What on Earth is Biffo up to? See back page” implies that all is not as it seems, a common occurrence with this pair.

Biffo is wearing his usual red dungaree shorts, (although canonically he does have swimming trunks) his hands clasped together in front of him and his face is beaming joy, with rather rosey cheeks.

A close up of a pen & ink drawing by an unknown artist of the third Doctor (Jon Pertwe) from The Armada TV Quiz Book written by Peter Eldin, the artist is unknown, published in 1976.

This depiction of the Doctor during to the artist’s decisions it looks like he has a rather scraggly moustache that spans the whole width of Pertwee’s mouth. They’ll claim that their rapid growth means they make mistakes in vetting, but what is it about them that makes them attractive to so, so many fascists?
A post about a Nathaniel Menday, a fascist that was successful in the May 2026 local elections, winning a council seat in Sheffield standing for Reform. He is pictured wearing a suit and looking very Gammon-ey (I can use that insult because I too am really quite white) The post details his further social media posts with the Swastika and other Nazi iconography, including a photo he posted of Mein Kamf.

He has been suspended, I assume Reform will claim they didn’t know, a stance that only makes sense if they weren’t serious about vetting their candidates.
