A lot of people don’t see it yet but I really think AI is going to end up in the electrotech category. The frontier AI labs have tried so hard to build a monopoly around the technology and they just can’t do it, and now they’re desperately swinging for regulatory capture.

FWIW the reason Omarchy is getting so much support is that it's legibly taking on the project of agent-maxxing to unfuck Linux, if you wanted to starve it of resources your best bet is probably to start a competing project that is legibly more serious.

increasingly it seems like the only real answer to this is to find ways of ensuring guaranteed income for people. imo we are reaching a point where people who want to build or do things will be able to - unrestrained by skills - and there will be a lot of people who will no longer need to work

Okay so what'd we learn... @polytoken.dev made the best looking one-shot tetris clone, and it wasn't particularly close. By a landslide. But it was also the slowest, yet 2nd most efficient. Hermes isn't built for this. Which, to be fair; unsurprising. omp is a monster that I do not understand.

I agree with the “if” here and my belief is still that AI will not see broad capital consolidation because it is structurally unlike the technology of the past few decades. It is fungible, models are open source, competition will exist. Value will accrue more like airlines or PCs.
