The British soap character... May I present Haley Cropper...

For 16 years, until 2014, Julie Hesmondhaigh played a trans woman called Hayley Cropper.in Coronation Street. There was a distinct lack of national outrage.
During that time Helen Joyce worked at the Economist, Maya Forstater was a tax advisor and JK Rowling just wrote books

Oh same here Peter. Getting my stamina levels back up with steady walks.. Three and a quarter miles alongside the river yesterday in lovely weather... Despite the moody image, taken towards the bright sun..

A riverside image. Trees on on bank and apartments on the other. The sky reflected on the river to give a moody effect.

Oh look..... Lady Hale - Supreme Court - 1st November 2017 Oh how times have changed... #transrights #transrightsarehumanrights

Gender dysphoria is something completely different - the overwhelming sense that one has been born into the wrong body, with the wrong anatomy and the wrong physiology. Those of us who, whatever our occasional frustrations with the expectations of society or our own biology, are nevertheless quite secure in the gender identies with which we are born, can scarely begin to understand how it must be to grow up in the wrong body and then go through the long and complex process of adapting that body to match the real self...

Timeliness cleanse.. One picture from the Nottingham Goose Fair this late afternoon in the bright warm sunshine. Not many seasons ago it would have been raincoats, warm jumpers and wrapped up warm. It was like a lovely spring afternoon here today. We had a nice day.

Bright sun in the background. Fun fair rights in the close foreground. Sunglasses over my mobile camera lens give the image a nice polarised warm glow without it being too bright.
