This assumes there's a group of friends that want to play, or can arrange their schedules to find time to play together. I've run games for folks who show up solo or in pairs to play at a table of 6. The game is far past "I'm going to play with my friends..." People just want to play, friends or not

I had to Google this since I don’t know anything about anime. Vampire was published in 1983, and animated in 1985. English version wasn’t until 2005. Santa Cruz introduced their Screaming Hand in 1985. I wonder if one influenced the other.

PSA for those of you about to run some analogue D&D tonight with a Chessex battle mat: All wet-dry markers are NOT created equal. To avoid staining, be sure you use the correct type. Stained mat? Fear not. Reach out to your local pot head for whatever they clean their bong with. It works.

So how would this fit into my D&D game? A Bard who uses a hand puppet as their spellcasting focus? Or a sentient hand puppet Wizard with a human familiar? Where is Jeremy Crawford when you need him? Fun bit of trivia: much like Handy, Crawford’s evil catchphrase was also “READ A BOOK!”
