The 1970's has arrived in my 8-bit computer collection! Courtesy of one of my Twitch mods, this Atari 800 was actually her older brother's personal computer and has been in storage since 1998. It has some issues, but nothing that can't be solved, so stay tuned for Star Raider and Donkey Kong.

I'm so in love with the visuals in CONTROL Resonant, and though I don't have an OLED for true HDR and high contrast, this old NEC does a baller job in one's place. Also huge props to @remedygames.com for supporting 4:3 ratios properly! It's freaking rad!

I might still be having issues with my ISP, but that doesn't mean I can't make art. Spent yesterday designing and rigging a new hoodie for my model, and it's so nice to have one back. It's rocking the same party trick as the other tops, meaning I can change the color whenever I want.

Update: it was like 20 minutes, some hot glue, and a genuine jaw-dropping moment to put the plastics to this thing mostly right. Damn, NEC build genuine TANKS for monitors. This thing is so solid and has so little soot, I think it has to be genuinely low-hour.

Order 2 of 3 is in from Goodwill: a mid-80's Yamaha K-28 dual cassette deck! I won the bid for $30, so I'm thoroughly pleased that it arrived in one piece. The belts need replacing, but that's just a basic service item. Don't you love when rubber just turns back to goo?

Since I picked up a second VCR recently, I moved the original and the 1988 Sears TV back out to my media shelves and I had a realization: Star Wars looks exactly like this in my memory. I actually don't remember if I've ever seen the original trilogy on anything but an RF only CRT.
