Off now to Dundee, the flagship diocese of the Scottish Episcopal Church, reeking of heaven, for the installation of Rev'd Roxanne Campbell as the new Provost of St Paul's Cathedral. Not a bad way to spend my own anniversary day.

Went up to the canal to look for the kingfisher. (Has been spotted locally recently). Didn't find the bird but did find a new graffiti mural.

Can I suggest that we all get a bit seasonal and contemplate the Adoration of the Magi in the Snow by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It is claimed to be the first depiction of snow in Western Art. (If you can't find the Magi, there's some adoring going on bottom left in a rather ordinary hovel.)

Painting. Lots of people in a snowy village. Small indistinct figures of the Magi adoring Jesus who is held in Mary's arms.
