The major problem with capitalism is that you can only make a profit if you convince someone to buy something for a price, but the price is higher than it cost you. It's based on tricking people or getting-one-over on people when they just wanted a fair exchange.

People usually think rich people are smart, but most of them are complete morons. Rich people just have lots of chances to succeed (because their connections will loan them millions to get started), whereas regular people can't get those sort of loans.

If I call my parents, they're usually too busy to talk for more than a minute (despite both being retired). But! If I post a passive-aggressive post about our last conversation on Facebook, my mother will call within 24 hours and have plenty of time to talk to say, "that's not what I meant!"

It's really amazing to me the way that Canadians are not buying American products in the grocery stores. I see the shelves here in Montreal, & I'm so impressed by their boycott. The Canadian products are snatched up & the American ones are left to spoil. Good for them!

I don't want the govt firing ppl. I want them hiring A LOT more! I want there to be MORE teachers, park rangers, bus drivers, FDA inspectors, mental health professionals, IRS agents, judges & court staff, scientists, OSHA ppl, consumer protection ppl, etc. ONLY less cops, military, prisons & guns.

As an American living in Canada, I no longer trust flights that go through the US. If I visit family this year, I'll either drive to the US, have them come fly to us (seeing as they think I'm overreacting anyway), or have them meet up with us in another country for the holidays.
