Cats are still young so I don’t really expect them to be as in tune with my emotions (or blood sugar) as their late uncle was after 14 years, but, it sure would be nice right now to be cuddled on by my boys.

I always hear Gene Belcher’s voice saying “Are you MOBY?” every time I come across a picture of a man on my discover feed that vaguely looks like Moby and like 68% of the time it actually is Moby.

For additional context, San Francisco has about 8,000 unhoused people at any given time. It wouldn’t even take 1/3 of their budget to permanently fund enough housing to eradicate homelessness. But they’d rather hire thugs to destroy an encampment, surveil the city via Flock, and buy robot dogs.

Just doing some quick math, the annual San Francisco Police Department budget of $840m could instead provide free rent for one year for 18k market rate apartments (average at ~$3,900/mo) or over 30k low-income units (average at ~$2,300/mo). We aren’t angry enough.
