Helping out with the wildfire on the Snake Pass yesterday. Origin unknown, although definitely arson. A worrying trend for upland land managers. #wildfires #arson #nature

I’ve been removing Rhododendrons from woods today. Highly invasive non-native and spread like wildfire if left uncontrolled. It’s an ongoing effort each year but we’re winning the battle! #ecology #environment #restoration #nature

Been surveying Dippers today with volunteers. Found 2 pairs along a stretch, consistent with previous years. Dippers are a good indicator of river quality and it’s important to keep the dataset going to aid in analysis. #birds #data #nature #walking #survey

On fire patrol. There were four fires around Saddleworth yesterday due to irresponsible and antisocial behaviour.
