What does it take to turn individual anxiety about the climate into collective action? In this episode, Thomas Jørgensen visits the square of the University of Tübingen: a space covered in posters and stickers and loud with meetings and workshops: the unofficial heart of student activism on campus.Leonie Schwarz and Chiara Gehring take us through their path into climate activism, from a course on constructive climate journalism to building the university's own student climate editorial team. They talk about the emotional weight of activism, the messy reality of organizing and the ‘climate animals’ they mirror their emotions onto.Guest:Leonie Schwarz, Head of the Climate Editorial Team, Centre for Media Competence, University of Tübingen, GermanyChiara Gehring, Head of the Climate Editorial Team, Centre for Media Competence, University of Tübingen, GermanyHost:Thomas Jørgensen, Director for Policy Coordination and Foresight, European University Association

The Unbearable Light(ness) of AI: Bright Promises and Hidden Shadows of Artificial Intelligence
This volume examines one of the defining tensions of our era: how to harness the transformative power of artificial intelligence while preserving responsibility, sovereignty, and human judgement. Bringing together scholars and practitioners, this volume moves beyond hype and alarmism to explore AI across three interconnected levels: global systems, organisational governance, and personal ethics. It addresses digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, sustainability, inclusion, healthcare, education, and accessibility, highlighting both the environmental and social costs of AI and its potential to advance innovation within the Sustainable Development Goals.

Panning shot of a woman with her two hands close together below her face and her head leaning towards the right of the image, in a metro train carriage entering the Merode metro station in Brussels. The woman's posture and face are slightly blurry due to the intentional linear camera movement, evocating a religious Madonna painting. The tones of her clothes match the dark grey tones of the window that frames her while the warm lighting on her face and hands matches the warm tones of the tiles on the wall of the station.

Report on the Current State of Automatic Credit Recognition
This report presents a comprehensive analysis of the current state of automatic academic recognition for credit mobility within the European Higher Education Area. It reviews the legal and policy framework, examines barriers and enabling practices, and analyses quantitative and qualitative data from students, higher education institutions, and practitioners. Produced within the AUREA project, the study identifies persistent challenges, such as inconsistent implementation, curricular incompatibilities, and gaps in Learning Agreement processes, and provides evidence-based insights to support progress toward seamless and fully automatic credit recognition across Europe.
