When I vote for Big Ten honors (which I never take for granted), I put down the players that I am 100% for sure about first. Here were my picks, in order: JuJu Watkins (my POTY vote) Jaloni Cambridge Olivia Olson Oluchi Okananwa Syla Swords Jazzy Davidson

Two equally crazy decisions from the coaches and media: - at least 1 Big Ten coach doesn't think Jaloni Cambridge is a top 10 player - at least 1 Big Ten media voter doesn't think JuJu Watkins is a top 10 player At a loss for words.

Progress? I didn't wear my jacket that has the "boi howdy ain't that some depression" patch on it to the therapist office today.

I got there early, had a good spot and then someone as tall as Han Xu slowly slid right in front of me so I hung out around the back of the venue. Still vibes.

I saw Beach House last night and they were so incredibly wonderful.

For those without the fun of this lil neurodivergence, taking this medicine is like my brain slamming on the brakes. It slows it down that much. For my entire life I thought everyone’s brain was on 100 different things at the same time. Took nearly 40 years to find out how that is not normal.

I complimented the nurse at my annual checkup. Not in a “thank our front line heroes” kinda Covid thing. She gave me two vaccines and drew blood and I felt practically nothing. I called her amazing, applauded how confidently she did it all and more. I’m not a fan of needles, if you can’t tell.

The Big Ten announced today that any men’s or women’s basketball player who had a professional contract or declared for WNBA or NBA drafts but did not withdraw or share intent to return to school within the allowable timeframe cannot play on a conference team. Adoption was unanimous.

This is my third season with the honor of choosing players for pre and postseason awards. I don't take it for granted, even if I get to choose less and less each season. I'll share who I chose once the voting closes at 5 pm ET.

Today is the deadline to vote for Big Ten women's basketball preseason honors. I chose player of the year, plus 10 athletes for the preseason team. They used to have us rank the teams too but not anymore. Really trimmed down the preseason awards. Winners tentatively set for a 10/1 announcement
