No, it's not. YOU may not like it, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I've really enjoyed it a lot. Sure, it's targeted at the YA audience, but so is Harry Potter. It's a story about kids, so it's slanted towards kids. The ethos of Starfleet is evident, which I love.
