In high school, my teachers taught us to investigate source material. Where information came from, who was telling it, who they were telling it to. Not all information is created equal. Anyway, it took me a while to realize that level of analysis, fundamental in my life, is not widely taught.

Per the neuroscience, sm platforms are designed to tap in to the "artificial" production of dopamine and serotonin in our brains. Especially algorithmic based ones. Basically the people are addicted and the toxic behaviors/activities provide easier & more frequents hit than productive versions do.
