If you don't listen to @bisexualkilljoy.bsky.social you definitely should. As queer academia goes it's both really accessible and really affirming. As a practitioner and not a theologist it's interesting to have things I do without necessarily thinking about laid out.

What do you do when Royal Mail have delivered your (accurately addressed) parcel to a random house near you that you can't identify, and the inhabitants of said address have kept it?

RIGHT no matter what way they explained it always came over as elitist and pretentious at best and often racist and classist too.

Wait, is Sapiosexual back as a term people are unironically using? But it's so very full of isms!

Dear queer community, biphobia is not cool. Stop rolling your eyes at bisexuals
From ghosting lesbians to fetishising men, bi folks face endless gatekeeping. It’s time to dismantle the binary, not add more labels.

"Those who identify as bisexual often feel the need to justify their sexuality as if it were something to be argued in a court. Even a bisexual who balances dating equally between genders may be dismissed as confused, experimental, or simply being indecisive"

Bisexuality as social resistance - The Medium
Listen to the audio version of this article here!* As we slowly settle into the colder fall season, many of us desire to find that special someone. When it comes to sexuality, our time at university allows us to experiment with new possibilities and meet new people who may potentially become our first or next

Ha, I have three types of cardamom in my kitchen - I cook a lot of Pakistani and Indian food. I will admit I am probably an outlier.

Why not cardamom if there must be a second flavour? Or earl grey tea? Or just letting it be apple-y!

"What I said was self-evidently true. Bi men tend not to come out because they are considered gay - by both men and women. One fear is that coming out will then dictate their dating and sexual lives, meaning in practise they will only be able to partner up with men"

Yes, biphobia is still prejudice
Sleep with who you want. That doesn’t mean writing off bi people isn’t literal prejudice

This weird downplaying that fellow bisexuals do - like you said, it only serves the oppressors of all queer people. Bisexuality is inherently queer, not just in attraction but in mindset. When you aren’t monosexual, you see things differently. And that’s fully queer!

It also reminds me of a conversation I had with a gay trans friend. He’d always be so pissed off when he’d see events that would say no unaccompanied cis men. But trans men are fine. He found that very patronising and disaffirming. Like, oh trans men don’t count, don’t worry about it

How are we supposed to make bisexualities acceptable when (mainly) cis women are running round shouting about unfortunate it is that they're not gay? Do you know how many bi+ women legitimately struggle with that? If you're hearing endless discourse about how bi+ women shouldn't bring their

Find another way to point out how problematic cis dudes have the capacity to be. Don't internalise it. Your attraction isnt unfortunate: their behaviour is.
170
Libby from Biscuit @thisisbiscuit.org.uk · 27/09/2026
Casting any part of your attraction as unfortunate is exactly what biphobes want you to do. Remember, biphobia is not fear/disgust of same gender loving, it is fear of bothness. Of neither/nor-ness. Do not make shame around one or more parts of your pattern of attraction ok.
1123
Libby from Biscuit @thisisbiscuit.org.uk · 27/09/2026
And finally. That shit is straight up biphobic. STOP APOLOGISING FOR WHO YOU'RE ATTRACTED TO. Stop letting bullshit systems of queer hierarchy tell you that attraction to all genders is somehow less queer, or less pure, or less worthy. It's not feminist to apologise for who you desire.

The trade union movement has broadly maintained its place as a last bastion of democracy and human rights in the UK. It is therefore extremely predictable that transphobes would pour their vast wealth towards their destruction. If only we had a judiciary that could be relied upon to say no to hate.

The gentry, y'all. I'd add what I was talking about the other day: trans communities are overwhelmingly working class, lean heavily radical and our very open existence punctures elite myths about societal hierarchies being "natural," so they view us as a threat.
